Date: 4th February 2002 FIRSTASSIST ACHIEVES INVESTORS IN PEOPLE STANDARD FirstAssist has today achieved the prestigious Investors In People status, covering its four offices in the UK. The award was given after a two year evaluation and accreditation process driven by a committed in-house team. Commenting on the award, Steve Wood, Director of FirstAssist said: "I am delighted that we are now an Investors in People company. Reaching this standard is a testament to the hard work put in by all FirstAssist staff. We have always been a company committed to employee satisfaction and improvement and firmly believe that a great business is only as good as the staff that work in it." The Investors in People panel, which assesses a company's employee training and development activities, recognised all of the FirstAssist sites in the UK for the standard. Commenting on the achievement made by FirstAssist, David Swift from the Learning & Skills Council added: "It is always a great moment when the hard work of a company in developing its people is reached.
